1. Help.
用作遇见危险时的呼救语，意为：来人啊! 救命啊! 如：
Help! Somebody! Help! Help! 救命啊!来人啊! 救命啊!救命啊!
Help! Help! A boy is drowning! 救人啊! 救人啊!一个男生要淹去世了!
A：Help! Help! 救命啊! 救命啊!
B：What’s the matter? 出啥事了?
A：I don’t know. But be quick；let’s go and see what has happened. 不了解，快! 大家去看看出啥事了。
2. Help yourself.
用作招呼客人吃东西时的客套话，意为：请随意吃；请吃……；别客气。如：
Help yourself, Mr Green. 格林先生，请随意吃。
Help yourself to the fish. 请吃鱼。
Make yourself at home, and help yourself to anything you like. 请勿拘束，喜欢吃那些就吃那些。
表示客气答应请求，意为：请自便，自已拿吧! 如：
A：Do you think I could use your dictionary? 我可以用你的词典吗?
B：Yes, help yourself. 可以，自已拿吧。
A：Can I have a drink? 我可以喝杯酒吗?
B：Help yourself. 请自己倒。
3. I can’t help it.
表示帮不上忙，意为：我也无法；这不是我的错。如：
He doesn’t love you any more and I can’t help it. 他不再爱你了，我也没方法。
I can’t help it if the train is late. 如果火车晚点我也无法。
有时可用于被动语态。
表示控制不住某种情感或思想等，意为：我控制不住； 我忍不住；我没法不……。如：
A：Why are you crying? 你为何哭?
B：I can’t help it. 我忍不住。
有时可将它中的代词 it 换成 myself：
I can’t help myself, but I mean no harm. 我控制不了自己，但我并没恶意。
I wasn’t supposed to go to the movies, but I could not help myself. 我不该去看电影的，但我就是管不住自己。
4. It can’t be helped.
表示没方法或帮不上忙，意为：无可挽回； 这是不可回避的；实在无法；只好如此。如：
You’ve broken it now； it can’t be helped. 你把它打破了，已没办法挽回。
We haven’t got enough money, and it can’t be helped. 大家没足够的钱，这实在无法。
此使用方法也可换成：There’s no help for it. 如：
Since so, there’s no need for it but to delay our journey. 既然这样，也没方法，大家只好推迟旅游。
The thing is done and there is no help for it now. 木已成舟，现已没办法挽回。
5. So help me.
用于发誓，意为：上天作证；我敢发誓；千真万确。如：
I really swam across the river, so help me. 我的确游过了河，我对天发誓。
I didn’t mean to do it. So help me, it was an accident. 我不是有意要那样做，上天作证，那的确是一次事故。
有时其它可接其它词或成分：
I’ll pay you back, so help me . 这钱我肯定还给你，我敢发誓。
It’s the truth. So help me it is. 那是真的，上天作证，的确这样。
If you say that once more, so help me I’ll hit you. 如果你再说一遍如此的话，我可真的要狠狠凑你一顿了。
另外有时 so help me 后也可接 God 一词：
I didn’t know the man I insulted was your father. So help me God I didn’t. 我不了解你侮辱的那个是你爸爸，上天作证，我做梦也没想到啊。
